Food & gifts

Things are getting a little hairy in all three of the Graham and McCarthy-James households. We are getting down to the wire, and there is still so much to do!

But one major burden has been lifted. We are no longer doing a cookout for the food portion of the event; trying to host a wedding ourselves and cook a hundred burgers and dogs would have proved to be way too much for us to handle.

Instead, we will be serving submarine sandwiches and pizza, along with sides and fruit and vegetable platters. We hope that the food will be tasty and satisfying for all! It may be a little messy or greasy, but we will be providing bibs to those who want to protect their fancy duds. If you're concerned that your dietary needs may not be satisfied, please email Rachel.

If you would, please look to the right and fill out the poll about food choices so we can better anticipate guest needs.

We've gotten a lot of questions about what Jason and Rachel want for gifts; we do not expect you to get us anything, but we do appreciate people's generosity and want to point them in the right direction.

What we would most like from those inclined to give us something is money. We're a little less than flush, and we'd like to go on a nice honeymoon. So if you would like to help us make some memories, please check out our honeymoon registry and select a gift:

Since we already have a furnished house with a blender and pots and pans, we don't really need household furnishing. Physical gifts are also less than ideal for us because we are moving to Kansas next year.

That's it for now! Watch your email and Facebook inboxes for important information and communication.
